Stones River Manor is Rutherford County's only faith-based nonprofit senior living community. We provide independent living apartments, six levels of assisted living care, including special needs care in our Select Care Center, specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care in our Assured Care Center, skilled nursing and rehab in our Advanced Care Center, a Skilled Care facility and rehab, and adult day care and respite care services at all levels of care. A variety of clinical and therapy services are also available right here on our campus.

MEMORIAL SERVICE UPDATE
You are warmly invited to our Annual Memorial Service as we honor and remember the lives of our former residents who have gone on to their eternal reward in 2025. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together in remembrance and celebration of lives that will always be part of our Stones River Manor family.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Marvin Whitworth, and Bryan Lewis will be leading us in singing.

The service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with services beginning at 2:00 PM.

We may not be in the Alps, but the competitive fire was burning bright right here at Stones River Manor! Our residents recently took part in our very own Olympic Games, proving that athleticism and team spirit have no age limit.

The highlights of the week included a high-energy Ice Hockey tournament—where the teamwork was as sharp as the "ice"—and a thrilling Slalom Race that tested everyone’s speed and precision. Whether they were navigating the course or cheering from the sidelines, our residents brought gold-medal energy to every event.

Congratulations to all our competitors for a spectacular display of sportsmanship!

Our Story

Stones River Manor opened in 1977 as a Christian “Home for the Aged” with 29 living units. Over the years we’ve grown and expanded to meet the needs of the seniors in our community with facilities and services which cover the entire spectrum of senior living.

For many years a campus like ours was known as a CCRC, or “Continuing Care Retirement Community.” In recent years such a campus has come to be known as a “Life Plan Community.” We prefer to regard “The Manor” as a “Planned Life Community” - Your Life, Your Plan.

To provide for your life plan we offer independent living apartments, six levels of assisted living care, including specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care in our Assured Care Center, respite care, adult day care services and a variety of special needs care services in our new Select Care Center. We also offer complete clinical and therapy services, right here on our campus, and our brand new Advanced Care Center provides skilled nursing and in-house rehab services.

Stones River Manor was Murfreesboro’s first home for the aged and is still Rutherford County’s only faith-based, not-for-profit senior living community. Unlike other CCRC’s, or Life Plan Communities, there are no buy-in charges, leases to sign, or complicated contracts to be negotiated. It’s simply month-to-month rental based solely on your level of care.
