Stones River Manor is Rutherford County's only faith-based nonprofit senior living community. We provide independent living apartments, six levels of assisted living care, including special needs care in our Select Care Center, specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care in our Assured Care Center, skilled nursing and rehab in our Advanced Care Center, a Skilled Care facility and rehab, and adult da

Our Story

Stones River Manor opened in 1977 as a Christian “Home for the Aged” with 29 living units. Over the years we’ve grown and expanded to meet the needs of the seniors in our community with facilities and services which cover the entire spectrum of senior living.

For many years a campus like ours was known as a CCRC, or “Continuing Care Retirement Community.” In recent years such a campus has come to be known as a “Life Plan Community.” We prefer to regard “The Manor” as a “Planned Life Community” - Your Life, Your Plan.

To provide for your life plan we offer independent living apartments, six levels of assisted living care, including specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care in our Assured Care Center, respite care, adult day care services and a variety of special needs care services in our new Select Care Center. We also offer complete clinical and therapy services, right here on our campus, and our brand new Advanced Care Center provides skilled nursing and in-house rehab services.

Stones River Manor was Murfreesboro’s first home for the aged and is still Rutherford County’s only faith-based, not-for-profit senior living community. Unlike other CCRC’s, or Life Plan Communities, there are no buy-in charges, leases to sign, or complicated contracts to be negotiated. It’s simply month-to-month rental based solely on your level of care.
