MTSU’s Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (SNMA-MAPS) is a student-led organization comprised of pre-health students striving to help each other achieve our goals. Meetings consist of pizza, current community physician interaction, volunteer opportunities, a medical student mentorship program, and fellowship with other students just like you! Beyond our meetings, MAPS organizes two to three trips a year. Possible trips this year include UT Memphis Medical School, Meharry Medical College, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, ETSU Quillen College of Medicine, and Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine to meet with admissions and tour the campus; while including trips to a Remote Medical Clinic site and regional conferences. We have club meetings on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm in SCI 1003. Check our Facebook and Instagram profiles for news, updates, and meeting reminders. Dues include $20/year ($10/semester) for all members. This money pays for the pizza and drinks that are served at each meeting and also helps fund any trips taken throughout the year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact President, Nikita Menon, at nsm3g@mtmail.mtsu.edu.
