Our elderly are the last ones that will ever ask for help. A lot think if they ask for help it is a weakness and they may have to leave their home. As times are significantly changing, just a meal, a pot of soup, a check-in could make such a profound difference. They, because of the depression etc, have gone without. And this is so very sad.

We must remember, just because someone is older, it does not mean that they have nothing left to offer to society and are incapable of accomplishing great things in their remaining years.
