📣 March 3 is World Hearing Day! 👂🌍
This year the World Health Organization’s theme is “From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children” — highlighting the importance of preventing avoidable hearing loss in kids and ensuring early identification and care when issues arise. Around 90 million children and adolescents worldwide live with hearing loss, and over 60% of it is preventable with simple, effective measures like routine ear checks and early interventions.
While our clinic primarily cares for adults, this theme is a great reminder that hearing health matters at every stage of life. Hearing loss can begin gradually and go unnoticed until it impacts communication, relationships, and quality of life — whether in a child at school or in an older adult at home.
👂 What you can do:
✨ Encourage family members (especially children) to have routine ear and hearing checks
✨ Be aware of early signs of hearing changes
✨ Protect your hearing from loud noises at every age
✨ Stay connected — better hearing helps support better social, cognitive, and emotional well-being
