Today’s PSR community outing gave our members the opportunity to try ice skating—embracing the cold weather and learning a brand-new skill. Experiences like this promote confidence, independence, physical activity, and social connection, all while having fun together.

Today our hearts are full — full of joy and full of gratitude. FULL OF THANKS!
We celebrated our Friendsgiving, and our PSR members put on a talent show where we highlighted their abilities, not their disabilities. It was truly beautiful.

So many of them have never been given the chance to showcase just how gifted, creative, and extraordinary they really are. But today, they shined bright.

Caregivers, family members, agency staff, and drivers all came together — not just to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, but to cheer them on and support their talents.

Thank you to everyone who showed up. Thank you to our incredible PSR staff for making this day possible.
Happy Friendsgiving — today was a true success. 💜

PSR Weekly Highlights

This week, our members held their very first Member Council Meeting! 🎉
We’re excited to introduce the newly elected Board of the Member Council:

President: Zach

Vice President: Raymond

Secretary: Susan

Treasurer: Zyied

The Member Council plays an important role in our PSR program. It provides members with opportunities to build leadership skills, strengthen decision-making, and gain a sense of purpose. By empowering members to represent their peers and share ideas, the council supports mental wellness through connection, confidence, and personal growth—all key parts of recovery and community integration.

Another highlight from the week was National Horror Day, which we celebrated with a fun Pajama Day! Members enjoyed watching the newest Ghostbusters movie while preparing their own popcorn and snacks for a cozy, social movie experience. 🍿👻

This month, our focus was all about Self-Regulation & Self-Care 🌱

✨ Members enjoyed a fun and energizing trip to Sensory Skyzone Trampoline Park — big thanks to Sky Zone Murfreesboro for opening their doors just for us during the day!

✨ During Affirmation Week, we explored the power of words and how daily affirmations can shift our mindset and support mental health. Members also made Affirmation Junk Hats tapping into their creativity to design unique affirmations and new words that spoke to their personal journeys.

☕ And today, on National Coffee Day, we send a huge shoutout to Just Love Coffee Cafe - Smyrna TN for donating iced coffee to our PSR Center. Your generosity keeps us fueled and connected!

Summer ☀️ break is almost over, which means it's almost football 🏈 time in ! Don't forget to add these important events to your calendars...
All listed events are for BOTH Game Day football and cheerleading. You only need to attend ONE uniform fitting. Still need to sign up or need assistance? We'll be accepting in-person sign ups during the fittings as well. MUST BE REGISTERED TO BE FITTED!!

We are excited to announce we will be back again for 7on7 this season. We will host tryouts January 21st from 1pm to 4pm at Stewarts Creek High School football field for 8u-14u. Lots of big things coming, more information will be posted soon! We hope to see you there!
