🤍Dry brushing
🤍Oil pulling

You change with the seasons, and so should your movement.

As the year comes to a close, the way you move may begin to feel different. The vibrant energy and pace of summer give way to a desire for slower, more grounding practices.

This shift is not about doing less; it's about moving in a way that aligns with the current season.

Sometimes, this means embracing gentler flows, enjoying longer walks, or simply taking a deep breath before starting your day.

Give it a try :)

Why the slowdown? I’m glad you asked.

In traditional Ayurvedic medicine, (the sister science to yoga) there’s a strong emphasis on adjusting your movements as we transition into fall. These adjustments are essential for maintaining overall balance.

As we align ourselves with the natural energy of fall, try to shift towards gentler, grounding activities such as Yoga, walking, and meditation.

As we head into the colder months, I am making small shifts to make sure I serve my body well.🤍

You all know that I love yoga, but I also love how yoga complements so many other movement modalities.

It’s especially great for people who have a regular weightlifting program or want to get started with weight training.

Here are just a few ways that Yoga can enhance your weight training

🤍It improves flexibility and range of motion.

🤍It reduces your risk of injury.

🤍It helps build better balance and coordination.

🤍It promotes muscle recovery and stress relief.

The list goes on and on.

These are things I do not care to apologize for when they have to do with my overall well being.

1. Going to bed "early"

I need a full night of rest in order to feel my best and do my best.

2. Not responding to texts right away

Being glued to my phone is not something that I care to do, and because of that, I won't be responding to texts right away.

3. Moving how I want

I decided a long time ago I would move in a way that felt good to me and my body, not because someone else told me to. Some people love to run. Some people love pilates. Some people love to lift. Pick what you like and stick with it.
