Just a reminder!!Join us for a day of connection and community spirit!

Wilkinson Family Therapy & Self-Care with Myra will be hosting a Canned Goods and Donation Drive with free food for everyone! Stop by for hot dogs, hamburgers, and donuts, bring your canned goods, and help support local families in need.

Meanwhile, the RCAC Moves Line Dancing Festival, hosted by Rutherford County Delta Sigma Theta Alumnae Chapter, will be happening as well! It’s the perfect opportunity to learn some new moves, meet your neighbors, and celebrate the joy of movement and togetherness.

I had the opportunity to share why our Community Food Drive & Distribution means so much to me and to the families we serve in Rutherford County. With SNAP benefits paused and food bank funding stretched thin, many households are quietly struggling to put food on the table. This drive isn’t just about meals, it’s about dignity, care, and community. We’re collecting and distributing food to support local families who need a little extra help this season. Every can, every bag, every act of kindness matters.

Food Drop-Off: Saturday, November 8, 9 AM–12:30 PM
Barfield Crescent Park, Pavilion 6

Sorting & Distribution: November 8 3-5pm at Wilkinson Family Therapy, 520 Highland Terrace, Suite C, Murfreesboro

Distribution: November 9th 1-3pm at Wilkinson Family Therapy, 520 Highland Terrace, Suite C, Murfreesboro

Calling All Local Businesses!

Wilkinson Family Therapy, in partnership with Self-Care with Myra, is hosting a Community Food Drive & Distribution to support families who may be impacted by the pause in SNAP benefits this November.

We’re inviting local businesses and community partners to join us by donating nonperishable food items, baby essentials, hygiene products, or gift cards to help families in need.

Event Schedule:

Saturday, November 8
• Food Drop-Off: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Barfield Crescent Park, Pavilion 6

• Food Sorting: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Wilkinson Family Therapy, 520 Highland Terrace, Suite C, Murfreesboro TN 37130

Community Food Drive and Distribution
Hosted by Wilkinson Family Therapy and Self-Care with Myra
We have become aware that many community members may be impacted by the absence of SNAP benefits for the month of November. In response, Wilkinson Family Therapy, in collaboration with Self-Care with Myra are organizing a community food drive to help alleviate some of the stress this may cause. Our goal is to ensure that families have access to essential food items throughout the month.
