A fast transition isn’t just about speed...it’s about efficiency and control:

âś… Dismount smoothly before the line to avoid penalties.
âś… Rack your bike and remove helmet/eyewear in order.
âś… Change shoes quickly, elastic laces help.
âś… Hydration & fuel ready to grab as you head out.
âś… Start the run under control, allowing your legs to adapt from cycling to running.

Mastering these small details can shave precious seconds off your race time.

Gravel tires are a hot topic, but which ones should you be choosing?

We love to run through a simple list before purchasing gravel tires or running them on a race.

1. What is the surface like that you ride most frequently? Find a tire tread pattern that lends itself to these surfaces.
2. Is my priority speed and weight or is it traction, durability, and longevity of tires? Find one that suites your desires, but know it will come with its negatives as well (faster but more prone to flats or more traction, but slower).
3. Easy to change or pump up or does it have problems seating when pumping up from a flat?
4. Is it versatile for all your riding or will you be swapping it out quickly?
5. Price? Longevity of tire?
6. Does it look good on your bike??
