I linger in the afterglow of a most shadowed evening. 🕯

Night Mass: A Dark Romance unfolded as I had anticipated: intimate, steeped in shadow & longing, & filled with the kind of souls whose presence lingers long after they depart.

Candlelit crimson. Whispered incantations.
Each blend poured with reverence, each pouch sealed like a secret, every moment bound in intention.

To all who lingered & allowed my teas to become part of your night, I offer my deepest thanks.

My heart is full. 🖤

✨️ Dead of Night ✨️

When darkness gathers & the mind will not rest, this blend rises to claim it. Every sip drags the senses deeper into stillness; every aroma whispers of surrender.

Chamomile enfolds the cup with soft, hypnotic sweetness. Valerian root & skullcap anchor the mind, heavy & unyielding, pulling rest deep into the bones. Burdock root grounds with patient earthiness, while cinnamon warms faintly, like the last ember before silence. Lemon balm threads subtle light through the shadows, guiding the final descent. Ginger lends gentle, grounding warmth; marshmallow root coats like a velvet blanket while elderberry adds a muted, dark richness that lingers like twilight at the edge of consciousness.

Together they form a blend both somber & absolute: a companion for those nights when sleep is not optional, when surrender is total, when you drift into oblivion without resistance. A cup for deep, unshakable sleep that feels almost eternal.

The night leans close, velvet & unspeaking, & the house listens. Shadows gather in corners, curling like smoke, while the clock tolls, slow & certain, marking the hours that will never return.

A cup rests upon the table. Steam rises, whispering secrets only the darkness knows, & the aroma threads through the air: warm, darkly sweet, & strangely commanding, with a deep, soothing richness that mirrors its gentle weight on the tongue; like velvet cloaking the senses, like the hush of midnight wrapping the world in quiet warmth.

You lift it, & the first sip unfurls like a secret. Warmth spreads through your chest & along your limbs, soft & heavy, like a velvet blanket laid over your shoulders by unseen hands. Thoughts calm, the edges of the world soften, & the night presses close, gentle yet inexorable. Sleep drifts over you like shadow made tangible; deep, unbroken, & absolute, until you are wholly, irrevocably claimed by the night's embrace.

The world is afire with roses, their blooms bright & fleeting, yet here we linger in shadowed quiet, where the candlelight dances upon walls & whispers entwine with the scent of hand-blended herbs. 🌹🕯️

Flowers are out, tea is in. Let the world chase petals that wither too soon; we shall take refuge in the slow, deliberate ritual of the evening cup. Each sip is a soft caress, a gentle confession, a testament to patience & longing, to a devotion that flourishes not in the sun, but in the dim & tender corners of the heart.

Amid the quiet murmur of candle & shadow, love is not loud nor fleeting, but rich & enduring; a romance written in whispered confessions, lingering glances, & the heat of hands brushed together in the hush of evening. Lips barely meet, hearts quietly entwine, breaths mingle with the steam of tea, & time seems to fold around the intimacy of the moment. This Valentine’s Day, we do not seek the brilliance of blooms, but the intimacy of ritual, the warmth of tea steeped in stillness, & the secret beauty found in the shadowed hours where hearts dare to dwell; & love lingers, unspoken yet profound.

You are summoned to Night Mass: A Dark Romance, an eve where shadows linger long & desire drifts through candlelit corners.🕯️Here, the night is thick with whispered secrets, velvet drapery, & the intoxicating allure of the forbidden. Cloak yourself in your most decadent or mysterious attire & surrender to an evening of dark enchantment, where every glance, every sigh, & every flicker of light becomes part of a love story written only in the twilight.

Amid the shadowed ambiance, the air will hum with the pulse of burlesque, drag, tattoos, & other nocturnal indulgences, each moment a dance between elegance & mystery, the sensual & the sublime. ✨

Amid the flickering glow, I shall be present among other vendors presenting our wares for purchase. Wander, savor, & lose yourself among all who tempt the night, reveling in the beauty of the dark, the delicate, the romantic & the hidden. Within these envelopes lies more than tea..

They carry warmth for cold hands, steadiness for restless minds, & the ritual of self care. Each order is packed deliberately, as one might prepare a letter meant to be kept; protected from haste, sealed against the noise of the outside world. 💌

What rests inside is intended for slow evenings, dim rooms, & moments when the world feels heavy & the spirit seeks gentleness.

May it arrive safely, & find you at the hour you need it most. 🩶

Ingredient Spotlight: Elderflower 🌼

In Victorian apothecaries, delicate elderflowers were treasured for their airy clusters of ivory blossoms, resting lightly in glass jars like confetti from springtime clouds. Revered for their subtle grace & ethereal presence, they were called upon to lift spirits, ease congestion, & invite a quiet clarity to the mind & body. To the Victorians, elderflower was the embodiment of gentle refinement; light, fragrant, & quietly restorative.

Its aroma is soft & luminous: a delicate bouquet of green blossoms, sun-warmed petals, & hints of honeyed sweetness. There is a whisper of dew-laden meadows, fresh linen, & morning light in its scent; an elegant, fleeting fragrance that soothes without demanding attention. The taste is airy & subtly floral, sweetly perfumed yet never cloying, leaving a delicate brightness on the tongue, like a soft breeze through a blossoming orchard.

To sip a brew touched with elderflower is to feel lifted & clarified from within. It refreshes the senses, lightens the spirit, & invites a gentle buoyancy to the day. A quiet presence in tea; pale, luminous, & tenderly elevating, like sunlight filtering through the leaves of an early spring garden. 🌼

✨️ Ingredient Spotlight: Cinnamon 🕯️

In Victorian apothecaries, cinnamon was kept close at hand, its curled quills dark & aromatic, promising warmth in colder months & vitality when spirits ran low. Imported from distant, sun-soaked lands, it carried with it an air of quiet luxury & gentle power. To the Victorians, cinnamon was both comfort & protection; a spice believed to kindle inner heat, sharpen the senses, & steady the body against chill & fatigue.

Its aroma is rich & enveloping: sweet heat layered with dry wood, soft clove, & a whisper of resinous spice. There is something immediately familiar yet deeply evocative in its scent, like candlelit rooms, wool cloaks, & the hush of winter evenings. The taste is warming & bold without being harsh; softly sweet at first, then blooming into a slow, lingering spice that settles low in the chest.

To sip a brew touched with cinnamon is to feel gently awakened from within. It warms the body, grounds scattered energy, & lends a quiet strength to the cup. A steadfast presence in tea; dark, comforting, & softly invigorating, like embers glowing long after the fire has dimmed. 🤎

If you do not know which blend to reach for when the body is weakened by fever, fatigue, or the slow weight of illness, let it be Widow’s Tonic.

There are days when illness moves quietly through the house. When the chest feels heavy, the throat tender, the limbs dulled by fatigue, & strength must be coaxed rather than demanded.

Widow’s Tonic was gathered for those days.

For mornings of fevered stillness & evenings of recovery, when nourishment must be gentle, warming, & steady. When the body asks not to be pushed forward, but to be held where it is.

This is not a tea of false promises or sudden cures. It is prepared with care, steeped patiently, & taken warm so its work may unfold slowly.

Let the elderberry & rose hip offer their quiet support to the body.
Let hibiscus brighten the blood & ease the chest.
Let elderflower soften weariness & lend gentle ease to the spirit.
Let peppermint open the breath & calm unrest.
Let ginger warm chilled bones & stir circulation.
Let lemongrass lift the fog, softly, without force.

Drink when the house is quiet, when rest is still permitted, before recovery must masquerade as productivity.

Widow’s Tonic:
A warming infusion of elderberry, hibiscus, rose hip, elderflower, peppermint, ginger, & lemongrass.
