The 15th Annual Special Kids Race was one for the books! 🏃‍♀️💙
Because of this incredible community, hundreds of runners, walkers, families, sponsors, and volunteers showed up to run, walk, and roll in support of children with special needs. Every step taken on race day helps provide life-changing therapy and nursing services for the kids and families we serve.
From the early morning start line to the final finishers, the energy, encouragement, and heart behind this event reminded us just how powerful a community can be when it comes together for kids.

Transitions can be one of the hardest parts of a child’s day.

The First–Then routine helps make transitions clearer and calmer by pairing a less-preferred task with something motivating.

Example:
First: Put on shoes
Then: Go outside to play

This approach helps children understand expectations, reduces power struggles, and builds trust by showing what comes next.

Simple tools like this can make everyday moments feel more manageable.
