We're excited to welcome Terry Fokakis, DO, (pictured left) as our new EWCH Chief of Staff. And we extend deep gratitude to Dr. Jeff Martin, who served in the position from April 2023 to June 2025, for his distinguished service, exemplary leadership, and lasting contributions to the medical staff and the patients served by the hospital.

“My goal over the next couple of years is to help our small hospital grow into a place where the community can trust that they are getting high-quality care with a small-town feel,” said Dr. Fokakis.

In July 2022, Janet Adams was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which accounts for 3% of cancer cases but 8% of cancer deaths. The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 67,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year.

But there is help and hope. Erlanger is home to a specialized team of pancreatic surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists, dedicated to supporting patients and their families throughout their pancreatic cancer journey. 💜
