Interesting information about a potential benefit of having cataract surgery. Remember, the doctors at EyeMax routinely assess the presence or level of development of cataracts during your annual eye exams.

According to the study, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, older adults who have had cataract surgery had a nearly 30% lower risk of developing dementia for at least 10 years after the operation, compared to those who did not.

To our Valued Patients and Community:

We have always cared about your health and safety first and foremost. But now, in light of the recent pandemic situation globally and in our community, we wanted to reach out and reaffirm our commitment to keeping our staff, our patients and our community safe.

As you have undoubtedly seen, during your visits to our office, we take cleanliness, disinfection and sterilization very seriously. We disinfect our equipment before and after each patient encounter. We have performed this sterilization protocal both at this office and at our previous one for over 30 years. Also, high touch areas, such as counter tops, door and chair handles, etc., are being disinfected and cleaned hourly in an effort to minimize any potential transmission of disease.

We are actively monitoring both local and national information about the Coronavirus and are continuing to do everything we can to keep our practice a clean and safe environment for all. We will continue to follow all the guidelines set forth by the CDC and WHO.

We want to reassure you that our practice remains a safe place for you and your family.
