At the Purchase Area Health Education Center (AHEC), we bring people together for the purpose of fostering, engaging, developing and sustaining the health care needs of our region. The AHEC system is comprised of a regional, state, and national network designed to carry out the overarching mission for developing, promoting and sustaining the healthcare workforce in rural areas by Connecting Students to Careers, Professionals to Communities and Communities to Better Health. It was a huge success!

Students, educators, healthcare providers, and state representatives came together to highlight the value of AHEC in our communities.

Since the a new semester starts at Murray State and WKCTC today, it's only fitting to show what our AHEC Scholars have done over break! Our office hosted two opportunities for them to get certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid. 17 of our AHEC Scholars are now prepared to help a youth in a mental health crisis!
