Innovation happening here in CDI!

Our faculty member, Mary Grace Starks, recently collaborated with the COEHS tech team to design and 3D print a custom AAC keyguard for a client. This technology helps create a personalized solution that improves access, accuracy, and independence with communication.

We are proud to be a part of a team that is always looking for new ways to improve outcomes and empower the individuals we work with!

Another incredible and successful Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association convention!
Our Praxis team — Abby Henderson, Lindy Dothsuk, Natalie Busch, and Tessa Bradley — brought home the (tied) win at the 2026 Praxis Bowl 🧠🏆! We’re also thrilled to celebrate Piper Austin, recipient of the Stanley and Stekol Scholarship, and Maggie Harrison, recipient of the RISE Scholarship. Lindy Dothsuk showcased her graduate research, and Kate Herrmann and Katie King presented their undergraduate research — an outstanding representation of the hard work and dedication of our students.

Additionally, Macy Scott, Isaac Embry, Kate Herrmann, Claire Criswell, Madison Rhodes, and Emma Williams were selected to participate in the KSHA Emerging Leaders event, where they expanded their knowledge of leadership and continued growing as future professionals in our field.

So incredibly proud of our students achievements and the way they exemplify true RACER pride! 💙💛
