Irvin Internal Medicine PLLC is an independent internal medicine practice being thoughtfully built to serve adults and seniors in our community. The vision for this practice is simple: unhurried visits, clear communication, and care that values relationships just as much as medical expertise. The focus is on listening, understanding each patient’s story, and partnering together to support health through every stage of adulthood. The practice is designed around a traditional primary care model, allowing time for meaningful conversations, preventive care, and thoughtful medical decision-making. By keeping care straightforward and patient-centered, the goal is to create an experience that feels personal, accessible, and grounded in trust. Irvin Internal Medicine PLLC plans to participate with Traditional Medicare and Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans. In addition, the practice intends to work toward participation with select commercial insurance plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and MedBen, as credentialing and contracting allow. To support access and communication, the practice plans to use the Emitrr communication platform, allowing for easier, more efficient connection between patients and the practice. The electronic medical record system will be athenahealth, chosen to support continuity of care, secure documentation, and coordination across care settings. What Makes This Practice Different
This practice is being built around the belief that primary care should feel connected, responsive, and comprehensive. The goal is to provide complete primary care so patients do not feel they must rely on urgent care clinics for concerns that can be addressed by their own physician. When appropriate, care may be provided through in-person visits, secure messaging, or telehealth—always with an emphasis on continuity and familiarity. By focusing on efficient systems, open communication, and thoughtful access to care, Irvin Internal Medicine PLLC aims to offer a full-scope primary care experience that is relationship-driven, well-coordinated, and centered on the individual patient. While the practice is still in development, it is being built with intention—prioritizing quality over volume, long-term relationships, and care that truly encompasses the whole patient. I am building this practice to create a care model that reflects how I believe medicine should be practiced. Over time, I have come to value not only diagnosing and treating disease, but also truly knowing my patients—their stories, their goals, and the context of their lives. I want the ability to design a system that supports thoughtful decision-making, open communication, and continuity of care, rather than one driven by volume or time constraints. This practice is an opportunity to intentionally build workflows, communication tools, and visit structures that allow me to care for patients in a way that feels complete and personal. My goal is to create an environment where patients feel heard, supported, and confident that their primary care physician is accessible and involved in their care. By building my own practice, I can focus on providing comprehensive primary care—care that anticipates needs, addresses concerns early, and reduces the need for fragmented or urgent care when possible. Whether care occurs in person, through secure communication, or via telehealth, the emphasis will always be on relationship, trust, and continuity. Ultimately, this practice is being built to serve patients the way I envision primary care should work: coordinated, compassionate, efficient, and centered on the individual.
