There has been a voluntary recall of store brand eye drops across several retailers due to questions about the sterility of the drop bottles. This includes store brand and generic artificial tears and dry eye relief from Walgreens, Kroger, CVS, and others. If you believe you have purchased one of these bottles of eye drops, stop using them and take them back to the store of purchase. The l8nk below takes you to the FDA announcement and list of affected drops.

Systane, Refresh, TheraTears, Ivizia, and Optase have not been indicated as affected by this recall.

We are saddened to say that Debbie Gallacher has retired and we will no longer regularly see her smiling face in our Optical! Debbie is going to have a new grandchild in the next few weeks, and now is the time for her to spend with her expanding family. We wish her all the best, and a very happy retirement!

Dr Ledford has been delayed returning to Myrtle Beach due his flight being canceled from the weather. We are attempting to contact patients for Monday Feb 2 to reschedule. He is expected to be in clinic on Tuesday Feb 3. We apologize for this disruption and will work to get y'all rescheduled in a timely and prioritized way.

6 weeks after opening in 2020 we were advised to close for COVID, not qualifying for any assistance as we did not have any 2019 tax returns to show we were a legitimate business. We made it through without it, and today marks 6 YEARS that we have been open and I am so proud of my team and our service to the Grand Stand and our patients.
