This week has been exceptional. We paid tribute to our eight veterans during Tuesday's lunch with a certificate and pin, as well as a program featuring the Pledge of Allegiance and God Bless America. Later that day, our veterans received a heartwarming surprise from Surfside 4th graders - a stack of handwritten letters expressing gratitude for their service. Kudos to those thoughtful children who wrote the notes and the dedicated teachers who initiated the project. The 4th graders did an outstanding job - they brought smiles to the faces of our veterans.
