Lee's Inlet Apothecary

Lee's Inlet Apothecary A drug store the way it used to be. - Local Pharmacy. Local Pharmacists. Local Love. Willie Lee, your local pharmacist since 1988. Period.

Having served the Murrells Inlet community for over 30 years, LOCAL care and attention has always been (and will continue to be) Willie’s mission of pharmacy care. This care and attention is at the core of what we do at Lee’s Inlet Apothecary and is the main reason we’re in business. This idea for a “Drug Store the way it used to be,” has been, from the very beginning, a God-given, God-driven venture. As we look back over the past 17 years of business, we can see God’s hand throughout it all, making good on a dream we didn’t even know we had. Back in 2002, Willie made the decision to leave the world of corporate pharmacy so that he could create an environment where the level of pharmacy care was warm, personal, and compassionate. Come experience what we like to call, The Apothecary Difference, where you know your pharmacist and your pharmacist knows you. Because when you know your pharmacist and your pharmacist knows you, you get better care. We love that we get to create a place in our community where people are taken care of and get to enjoy the nostalgia of a simpler time. We invite you to step in, step back, and get the Pharmacy Care you and your family deserve.

This is what it looks like when Independent Pharmacy takes YOUR PBM Reform message to a Senate Hearing in Columbia! Pharmacist from all over the state present and fighting for their communities. Senate bill S.342 is still alive and maybe inched forward a little thanks to organizations like the SCPhA and the leaders in this room.

I didn’t have the opportunity to sit in that chair this time, but when I do get to testify, YOUR message will be heard. I can’t thank you enough for your support through this legislative fight. We are no where near done!

Always taking names of people who want to be on the front lines of this. We call it The Apothecary PBM Reform Team. Private message me or call me with your name, cell, and email information. Together, we make a difference.

🚨 ACTION ALERT: Pharmacy Advocacy Needed 🚨

A key PBM reform bill is headed to the South Carolina Senate this week—and we need to speak up!

Patient access. Fair reimbursement. Pharmacy sustainability.

Thankfully, some local Senators have sponsored this bill. A big “thank you” to them!

Look What You’ve Done!

After, literally, thousands of phone calls, emails, and or conversations,
yesterday afternoon, in Washington, the House passed a spending bill that included key PBM Reform. The bill has already passed the Senate and the President has signed it! ✅✅✅

For now, the PBM reform measures only impact Medicare Part D payments, but this is an important first step toward national PBM reform. Melissa and I are very excited to share this encouraging and exciting development with you and sincerely thank you for your unbelievable support. This has truly been a grassroots effort and we look forward to more steps toward equitable and fair reimbursement practices across all of pharmacy.

Now, on to Columbia to work Senate Bill 342 and House Bill 4791 forward. More to come on South Carolina’s PBM Reform efforts! Stay tuned, there is more to accomplish!
I give God the glory.

Private message me or call me at The Apothecary (843-651-7979) to give me your contact information if you want to join on The Apothecary PBM Reform Advocacy Team. This grassroots effort started with them and we’ve only just begun!
