The way you talk to yourself during pain matters more than most people realize.

Your brain is always listening.

If the message on repeat is “I’m in pain… this isn’t working… nothing is changing,” your nervous system responds accordingly.

But when you begin to reframe the story — even before you fully believe it — you create space for something different.

Pain cycles aren’t just physical. They’re neurological. And the language you use can either reinforce the cycle or help interrupt it.

This doesn’t mean ignoring pain.
It means choosing not to let it define the outcome.

Sometimes healing starts with something as simple as a reminder on your counter.

“I am getting better.”

Your brain hears that too.

Meet Coach Lizz 👋

Lizz brings a strong mix of athletic experience, education, and intention to PHP’s student-athlete training.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Medicine and is finishing her Master’s in Exercise Science at California Baptist University. Her approach to coaching was shaped early through her own experience rehabbing a meniscus tear, which gave her a deep appreciation for smart training and long-term development.

Lizz has worked with athletes across multiple sports and is especially skilled at helping young athletes build strength, confidence, and body awareness as they grow.

Her coaching style balances challenge with support, creating an environment where athletes feel motivated, capable, and prepared both on and off the field.

Progressive Health Pro was born out of our passion to help those who need it the most. As a nation, our health is crumbling. Health care costs are rising exponentially and our population is becoming increasingly more sick and tired. We know that the journey to health isn’t often a straight, clear path when walking it alone. We set out to walk the journey with people to get them to a place where they can thrive.

Our team consists of highly educated fitness and nutrition professionals who can help with nearly any set of goals and any health issue. We take pride in helping develop fitness and nutrition programs that help people achieve their goals safely and efficiently.
