Meet Mary, our November Resident Spotlight! 🌟

Originally from Hamilton, Missouri, Mary spent over 30 years shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher at Garfield and McKinley Schools in Muscatine. Her dedication to education and love for her students made a lasting impact on generations of learners. 🍎

When she’s not reminiscing about her classroom days, Mary enjoys playing the piano, listening to music, making beautiful handmade cards, and curling up with a good book. Her favorite activities here are Bingo and High/Low — and she’s always up for some friendly competition! 🎶🎲

Mary’s fondest memory is attending a one-room country schoolhouse from first through eighth grade, a time that taught her the value of community and perseverance. Born during the Great Dust Bowl, she’s witnessed incredible change and growth throughout her life. 📚

Her advice for today’s youth? “Be kind and think of others. Always be positive.” 💛

We’re grateful for the kindness and wisdom Mary brings to our community every day! 🧡
