Member Spotlight 🌟 Michelle Garvin, CPhT

🎓 Michelle holds a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Iowa and has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor since 1997. She is a Certified Pharmacy Technician and trained Community Health Worker.

💼 Michelle co-owns Wester Drug in Muscatine, IA, with her husband, Cory. They have transformed the pharmacy into a technician-driven site, allowing their pharmacists to focus on clinical services.

💊 Michelle is active within IPA and the profession. She serves on the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)’s Stakeholder Advisory Council, her local public health board, and as a luminary for CPESN Community Health. Additionally, Michelle was appointed to the Iowa Board of Pharmacy by Governor Kim Reynolds in 2025.

These unfair and unregulated practices are the reason we had to close our Wilton location November of 2024. Please tune in if you can!

UPDATE: Phone system is down - It has explained to us that the issue is much larger than us. What were we told? There is an issue at a major phone system hub in Des Moines that is impacting systems all around the Midwest that MIGHT take days to correct, but only time will tell. In the meantime, our app, Rx365, is one way to reach us. Patients can also connect with us through Facebook Messenger. We will provide updates as they become available to us. We have a contact reaching out to the Muscatine Chamber of Commerce to help us spread the word. Again, we really appreciate your patience as we all struggle through this issue. Cory and Michelle
