✨Special THANK YOU✨

We need to extend a special thank you to the Woodmont Baptist Church ladies group for donating food for our biweekly group night! These ladies displayed service through providing a meal for every family and volunteer who joined us for our biweekly grief support group. Without the kindness and support of Woodmont Baptist, and so many others, THP could not continue to provide grief support and education to children and families who have experienced a loss.

If you, your church, organization, group, or business would like to know how to sponsor a group night for THP please email us at officemanager@thehealingplaceinfo.org or call our office at 256-383-7133.

✨Activity Share✨

During a recent teen group at THP our members explored how music can sometimes describe how we feel better than our words can. Members explored how they often use music to cope with many things- anger, sadness, disappointment, and even grief. They discussed how hearing a certain song can bring back memories of those we have loved or can so beautifully explain how we feel.

Members then created a playlist that represents their special person or their grief. This allowed members to discover how much their grief overlaps even when the loss is not the same.

What would be on your playlist? Let us know in the comments below!

April is nationally recognized as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.

This month (and every month) we stand together to raise awareness, support child victims of crime, and work toward a future where every child feels safe and protected.

Join us this April as we advocate for children and bring hope and healing to the Shoals. 💙

💙THP is seeking individuals who are interested in supporting our mission!💙

We need your help to keep THP thriving! We are forming a team of young adults called Heart Healers that will be filled with individuals who are passionate about helping THP further our mission and continue to thrive in the Shoals.

The Heart Healers will meet to discuss fundraising, networking, and connections. We hope that those who want to see THP continue to lead out our mission will donate their time to help us explore new fundraising avenues, become connected with other organizations, and advocate for the necessity of our services.

This is a great opportunity for individuals aged 19-45 who want to:
👉Support The Healing Place
👉Help The Shoals community
👉Network with other non-profits, agencies, and organizations
👉Gain experience in the non-profit sector
👉Make a difference in the lives of grieving children and families
👉Build their resume
👉Exercise creativity, networking, advocacy, fundraising, and more
