Our residency team had a great time connecting with the next generation of physicians! This past Friday, North Alabama Shoals Hospital was well-represented at the Annual Session Residency Fair in Montgomery.
A big thank you to Dr. Ethan Wainblat (PGY-4), Dr. Karthika Govindan (PGY-1), and our Psychiatry Residency Program Coordinator, Rebecca Uhlman, for attending and sharing more about our program with medical students from across the state.

Our Story

Today, the 178-bed, general acute care facility boasts spacious, private rooms for all patients as well as a 24-hour emergency department; mediccal/surgical inpatient units; and in intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Shoals Hospital also operates the area's only acute rehabilitation facility, the J.W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Senior Care Center, the Shoals' only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.
