🎃 Last night we hosted our first ever Trunk or Treat for residents, team members, and their families and friends — and what a fantastic turnout we had! 👻

Highlights included balloon animals by Charlie the Clown (one of our residents!), our octopus-decorated bus handing out candy and books, dance parties to K-Pop Demon Hunters, amazing costumes, cider and donuts, and of course, lots of creative trunks!

A huge thank you to our residents, team members, families, and local businesses who donated candy, decorated trunks, and helped make it such a fun evening. We loved celebrating all together! 💜🧡

Our Independent Living residents recently took a trip to the Muskegon Heritage Museum of Business & Industry! They had a wonderful time reminiscing about local businesses they once worked for — and even spotted some of the same equipment they used back in the day! 💬💙

We even stopped next door for a photo by the new Love Café, which is extra special since one of our residents has a personal connection to it! 💕☕

Last week we celebrated our October Birthdays with a fun University of Michigan vs. Michigan State–themed Happy Hour! Residents showed their team spirit while enjoying blue and green punch provided by our friends at Heartland Hospice — thank you for the festive drinks! 💙💚

We sang Happy Birthday to our October celebrants and, of course, enjoyed some delicious cake to top off the afternoon. 🎂💛 It was a great time full of laughter, team pride, and sweet celebrations!

🎃👻 We had a spook-tacular Sunday BOO-runch this past weekend! 👻🎃

Residents and their guests enjoyed a buffet full of Halloween delights — from Ham & Sneeze (cheese breakfast casserole) and Paranormal Potatoes (American fries) to Zombie Fingers (sausage links) and Spooky Spaghetti & Eyeballs (meatballs)! 🍝🧟‍♀️
Our dessert bar was frightfully delicious too, featuring apple fritters, pumpkin pie, and dirt cups with gummy worms. 🕷️🍎🥧

⚓ Captain’s Dinner Theme Week Recap! 🌊✨
What an incredible voyage we had during Captain’s Dinner Theme Week 2025! Our journey took us from the icy beauty of Alaska, through the Nordic Fjords, across the Great Lakes on the SS Milwaukee Clipper, and ended with a sunny Mediterranean Farewell on the Amalfi Coast. ☀️🚢

Along the way, residents and staff joined in the fun with Viking photo ops, Ocean-Themed Memory Jars, beach ball volleyball, rum tasting, Tropical Bingo Bash, our memorable Captain’s Dinner, and Mediterranean Happy Hour! 🎶✨

It was a week filled with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable moments — a perfect adventure at sea with our Harbor Terrace crew! 💙⚓

We wrapped up our Captain’s Dinner Theme Week with a sunny Mediterranean Farewell on the Amalfi Coast Cruise! Residents enjoyed a lively Happy Hour featuring limoncello and a refreshing non-alcoholic drink provided by Emmanuel Hospice. 🍹💛

Entertainment by Billy Ryan set the perfect mood as we celebrated the end of an unforgettable week filled with music, laughter, and great company. 🌊🎶

⚓ Captain’s Dinner Aboard the SS Milwaukee Clipper! 🦞✨
Thursday evening was a night to remember on our Great Lakes Cruise! Residents enjoyed a five-star feast featuring steak and lobster, clam chowder, loaded baked potatoes, grilled asparagus, and a grand dessert display that had everyone talking. 🍽️💫

The room was beautifully decorated with photos and fun facts about our local Milwaukee Clipper, setting the perfect scene for the night’s incredible entertainment by Danny Blomquist. 🎶

A special thank-you to our amazing Culinary Team for making this evening truly unforgettable! 👨‍🍳💙

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful day on our Great Lakes Cruise! For our onboard activity, they arranged stunning flower bouquets donated by Wasserman's Flowers and Gifts to decorate for the evening’s Captain’s Dinner. 🌼✨

Their creativity and eye for detail made the room blossom with color — the perfect touch for our grand event at sea! 🌊💐

🌊🐠 After our Viking fun, residents continued their Norwegian Cruise Line journey with Ocean-Themed Memory Jars! Christina and Mallory from Hackley Public Library brought colorful sand and lots of treasures for residents to create their own keepsakes.

They also refreshed our Book Bin with new stories to enjoy on this cruise-themed adventure! 📚💙 We love their partnership!
