WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 1 AM EST FRIDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow is expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south-central, southwest, and west
Central Michigan.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 1 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Expect visibilities below 1/4 mile in falling and
blowing snow. Strong winds could cause sporadic power outages.
Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the
Wednesday evening and Thursday commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
