- Put your baby to sleep on their back.
- Make sure your baby is sleeping on a firm, flat surface.
- Give your baby their own sleep space (separate from your own).
- Keep your baby's sleep space free of bumpers, blankets, pillow, and toys.

November is Carbon Monoxide (CO) Awareness Month and the beginning of cold weather events that could increase your risk of CO exposure, which serves as an important reminder for families to familiarize themselves with the signs of CO presence in the home. Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning can easily be mistaken for the flu - including nausea, headaches, burning eyes, confusion, drowsiness and loss of consciousness. And kids in particular are more vulnerable to the risks of CO poisoning.

Time to get educated! Visit CauseForAlarm.org to check out Kidde Fire Safety free CO resources as well as Prepare. Plan. Practice., the brand’s digital fire drill simulator that families can use to enhance fire and CO awareness and knowledge at home. Through gamified learning, users can explore a digital home and uncover essential and practical fire and CO safety information. kiddesafetysimulator.com/us
