❄️ Inclement Weather Closure ❄️

Due to inclement weather, Hoos Pediatric and Adolescent Care will be closed Monday, January 26th.
At this time, we plan to reopen on Tuesday, weather permitting.

This decision is never taken lightly. We make closure decisions based on safety concerns and the well-being of our patients, families, and staff.

📞 We will have limited availability by phone for urgent questions during this closure.

We realize it is winter virus season, and many children are experiencing fever, congestion, coughs, and dehydration. To help while we’re closed, here are trusted links from HealthyChildren.org with guidance on medication dosing and home care.

Hoos Pediatric and Adolescent Care wants to recognize Dr. Jackson Wood for passing the board certification of the American Board of Pediatrics. He is now recognize as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Congrats Jackson Wood, DO FAAP.

We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have Leah C***s Payne create this stunning mural now on the north wall of our clinic. Watching her bring this to life with such talent and vision has been truly inspiring. And if you can’t tell she put Ellie, Okie, and Brisket in it

A huge thank you to Leah for taking on this project from start to finish—she designed and painted every inch of it. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re missing out!

Thank you to the Muskogee Fire Department for the incredibly kind words. The real heroes that day—and every day—are our firefighters and first responders who show up without hesitation, even in the most extreme conditions. We were grateful for the opportunity to open our doors during this terrible event. It was the least we could do to support the men and women working tirelessly to keep our community safe.

A big thank you as well to Muskogee Emergency Management, the Muskogee Police Department, and to Sonic who stepped up to take care of our responders. Muskogee is full of people who look out for one another, and we’re proud to be a small part of that.

Thank you again for all you do.

Muskogee Fire wants to say a special thank you to Dr Hoos and his staff at Hoos Pediatrics for opening his doors for a rehab station during the fire at 9th and Okmulgee. It was a huge help keeping us well while fighting fire in extreme heat.

We would also like to thank muskoge emergency management , Muskogee Red Cross, amd Sonic for providing drinks to help keep us hydrated.

We are excited to introduce Dr. Jackson Wood. He will be joining us on August 1st, and he is already scheduling patients.

“Dr. Wood grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is proud to be living and working in Muskogee. His special interests within medicine include newborn care, behavioral health, and family oriented care. He spends his free time with his wife Kelsey and their dogs, Ollie and Penny. He enjoys trivia, live music, gardening, hiking, reading, crosswords, and yoga. He has completed the OKC Memorial Marathon and the 100-mile Tulsa Tough Bike race, but doesn’t plan to repeat either any time soon.”
