Premier Vision Center

Premier Vision Center Offering personalized, compassionate care for the whole family, our office is here to take care of you and yours with eye care that's second to none

Dr. Owen was born and raised in Muskogee, OK. He knew he wanted to be an eye doctor since the 4th grade when he needed his very first pair of glasses. He could finally see the leaves on the trees and wanted to make that same 'WOW' impact a reality for others! Sadly, many children go with undiagnosed vision problems because they don't realize they should be seeing things more clearly! He has a beautiful wife of 9 years (Camille) and two great boys; Elijah (4) and Gabriel (2). Dr. Owen has been practicing Optometry since 2012 when he graduated from NSUOCO in Tahlequah, OK. He specializes in contact lens fittings and post-operative care. He is well versed in all contact lens modalities and can fit anything from single vision contacts, to multi-focal contacts, to RGP lenses. His faith is extremely important to him and has guided his decision-making throughout his entire life. He strives to be a good listener, a great husband and father, and a caring optometric physician. Dr. Owen loves spending time with his family and playing video games to relax and unwind after a long day.

Does your baby have eye problems?
Vision developmental signs vary child-to-child, but some of the most common milestones are:
Birth to four months: Focusing on objects eight to ten inches from them or focusing on their parent’s face, and the start of eye-hand coordination development.
Five to eight months: This marks the start of depth perception awareness and once a child reaches the eight month mark, he/she begins to crawl.
Nine to 12 months: During this time, babies start to grasp objects and pull themselves up to a standing position. By 12 months, most infants will start to walk.
One to two years: Children will begin to recognize objects and should now have a developed sense of eye-hand coordination and depth perception.
But the ONLY WAY TO BE SURE a child has healthy vision is for them to receive a comprehensive eye assessment from a doctor of optometry.

Did you know: If you adjust Your Workspace it can relieve digital eye strain?

The optimal distance between your eyes and your computer screen is 20 to 24 inches, or about an arm’s length away. The center of your screen should be about 10 to 15 degrees below your eye level. Looking downward is often reported to be the most comfortable for the eyes as well as for the back and neck.
