On February 18, 2026, the Eastern Oklahoma VA Medical Center received a generous grant from the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma in the amount of $18,000.00. This significant contribution, accepted by Candice Jordan, Chief of the Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE), will support various programs and services aimed at improving the lives of Veterans. Serving Those Who Served 🇺🇸🚐
Friday marked a major milestone for our veteran community in Tulsa! We officially cut the ribbon on the Eastern Oklahoma VA’s brand-new Mobile Medical Unit, a clinic on wheels designed specifically to support our unhoused veterans.
For many of our heroes, transportation and distance are the biggest hurdles to getting the care they deserve. This unit changes the game by meeting them exactly where they are—bringing primary care, mental health support, and social work assistance directly into our neighborhoods.
A huge thank you to the specialized outreach teams and community partners who made this possible. We aren’t just providing medicine; we’re restoring dignity and ensuring that no veteran is left behind on the streets of Tulsa.

Know a veteran in need? If you or a veteran you know is experiencing homelessness in the Tulsa area, please connect with the VA Homeless Services team at 918-384-4547 or visit the Tulsa Eleventh Street VA Clinic.

✂️🎀Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System to Hold Ribbon Cutting for New Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team Mobile Medical Unit

🚗 Tulsa, OK — March 6, 2026 — The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System (EOVAHCS) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of its new Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team (HPACT) Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place at the VA 11th Street Clinic, 10159 E. 11th St., Tulsa, OK 74105.

What: Ribbon Cutting for HPACT Mobile Medical Unit
When: March 6, 2026, 10:00 a.m.
Where: VA 11th Street Clinic, 10159 E. 11th St., Tulsa, OK 74128

Over the past year, EOVAHCS has established a specialized primary care team in Tulsa dedicated to serving Veterans experiencing homelessness. This new team focuses on removing barriers to care and meeting Veterans where they are, providing comprehensive and compassionate support tailored to the unique challenges faced by unhoused Veterans.
Mobile Medical Units are fully equipped vans and trucks designed to travel to multiple locations, offering Veterans a private and accessible setting to meet with VA medical providers. Through the MMU, eligible Veterans can receive a wide range of services, including primary care, mental health support, women’s health, audiology, laboratory services, social work assistance, and telehealth visits. These capabilities expand access for Veterans who may not be able to visit a VA medical center due to transportation challenges, unstable housing, or other obstacles.

“With the launch of this new Mobile Medical Unit, EOVAHCS can deliver essential health care directly to unhoused Veterans across Tulsa,” said representatives of the Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team. “This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that every Veteran—regardless of their housing situation—has access to the high quality care they deserve.”

🪖🫡The ribbon cutting event will highlight the MMU’s role in strengthening outreach, improving health outcomes, and advancing the VA’s mission to end Veteran homelessness.
Media, community partners, and the public are invited to attend.
