⭐️⭐️“MEET OUR CREW” Monday ⭐️⭐️
Amanda NRP, WP-C
Amanda joined the AEL 83 team in September ‘25 as a rehire that we are very proud to have! Amanda brings tons of diverse and exciting experience to our team that she has gained over the last 15 years in EMS.
Amanda remembers wanting to become a paramedic since she was 9 years old, when the thing that excited her the most was getting to ride backwards in an ambulance. After doing just that for a number of years for various services around Oklahoma, Amanda joined the National Parks Service in Yosemite National Park where worked as search and rescue, ropes rescue and swift water rescue medic. This was when Amanda gained her Wilderness Paramedic Certification, became a swift water and flood water rescue technician and a ropes rescue technician. Amanda has also spent time at the North Slope of Alaska where she continued search and rescue efforts as well as delved into rotor and fixed wing flight to meet the needs of her patients that were sometimes over 600 miles from definitive care.
Amanda is someone that enjoys rock climbing, hiking and is overall the true adventure seeker of our group.
Joining AEL 83 has offered Amanda the opportunity to stay up to date with critical care education and skills in an environment, that she says, has provided her a strong support system that challenges her growth and improvement.
“Being in EMS, you are trusted to share in the most sacred moments of the human experience. We are allowed to be present for the best, and often, the worst times in the lives of our patients and their families. This is not something that I take for granted and want to offer skill, compassion, empathy and support each time I am given the opportunity to care for people”.
Amanda was born and raised in California and grew up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. She has 3 incredible kids that are the light of her life.
