FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE!!

On Friday, March 6, 2026, we recognized something that cannot be measured by a single call, a single save, or a single shift—commitment.

At MCEMS, years of service represent far more than time on a calendar. They represent early mornings, long nights, missed holidays, difficult scenes, and the quiet, steady decision to come back and do it again.

This job is not easy. That’s exactly why even five years of service is something we believe deserves to be celebrated. Five years in EMS means resilience. It means growth. It means dedication to a profession that asks a lot—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

And that commitment is not carried by the medic alone. It is also supported by the families who share the sacrifice, the long hours, and the unpredictable schedule.

Today, we proudly recognize Cale, Forest, Keather, Josh, David, Lauren, and Chris in recognition of their five years of service. Thank you for your dedication, your perseverance, and your commitment to serving others.

Your work does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for the impact you make every day. Thank you for your service.

Some calls demand everything.

This year, MCEMS was part of 11 Code Saves—eleven patients in cardiac arrest who were successfully resuscitated and survived. Eleven families who were given more time with the people they love.

These outcomes are not luck. They are the result of disciplined training, strong medical direction, coordinated teamwork, and professionals who perform under pressure when every second matters.

Cardiac arrest is one of the most challenging calls in EMS. Survival depends on immediate recognition, high-quality CPR, early defibrillation, effective airway management, medication administration, and clear communication—all happening within minutes. Every action must be precise, every role understood, and every team member working together with one goal: bringing someone back.

Behind these eleven saves were many dedicated medics and dispatchers who answered the call and did exactly what they are trained to do.

Today we recognize:
Matt, Rebel, JT, Destiny, Megan, Josh, Wryan, Bryan, Jerry, Haylen, Chris, Forest, Cale, Jaylynn, Will, Wyatt, Angelique, Tyler, Allisyn, Rene, Michael, Aden, Kandis, Krislynn, Shayla, and Andrew.

Because of their skill, focus, and teamwork, eleven hearts started beating again.

Eleven patients.
Eleven second chances.
Eleven lives that continue today because Muskogee County EMS was there

Some calls stay with you forever.
This year, MCEMS crews were part of six incredible baby deliveries—six babies who made their entrance into the world before reaching the hospital, and six families whose stories will always include the calm voices and skilled hands of Muskogee County EMS.
Every one of these moments is unique. They are filled with urgency, emotion, and the unknown. But they are also filled with teamwork, compassion, and the determination to make sure both mother and baby are safe.
In one unforgettable call, the baby arrived before EMS crews could even get there. A frightened caller dialed 911, unsure of what to do next. On the other end of the line, a dispatcher stayed calm, steady, and focused—giving clear instructions and guiding the caller step by step through one of the most intense moments life can bring. Because of that voice on the phone, a baby was safely delivered into the world.
Today we recognize the dedicated employees who played a role in these remarkable moments:
Rickie, Josh, Madison, Andrew, Chris, Kristen, Sergio, Jaylynn, Lauren, and Robert.
Behind every one of these calls is a family who will never forget the moment their child was born—and the people who helped bring them safely into the world.
Six families.
Six babies.
Six first breaths that began with Muskogee County EMS.

On Friday, March 6, 2026, MCEMS proudly celebrated our 44th Annual Employee Appreciation Banquet.
We had approximately 140 people in attendance, including employees, family members, special guests, and honored community partners. It was a special evening dedicated to recognizing the incredible dedication and achievements of our team.
During the banquet, we presented 14 Years of Service Awards, recognizing employees from 5 to 20 years of service, including a 20-year retirement award honoring a remarkable career of commitment to MCEMS.
We were also proud to recognize four outstanding community partners for their continued support for MCEMS and our mission.
Our crews were recognized for 6 baby deliveries and 11 life-saving code saves over the past year—powerful reminders of the lifesaving work performed every day.
Thanks to the generosity of EMS Heroes and other Sponsors, we were able to give away 40 amazing door prizes. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal and one of the most incredible grazing tables around.
One of the highlights of the evening was presenting 16 “Of the Year” awards, chosen by peers to honor coworkers who go above and beyond.
Over the next few days, we hope you enjoy highlights from our 2025 Awards Ceremony as we celebrate the people who make MCEMS exceptional every day.
