Happy Nurses Day to our nurse, Hanna. God blessed our clinic when she was placed in our lives. The clinic nursing world is a little different than her prior fast paced hospital world, but we are grateful she stepped into this role! Thank you Hanna for all that you do for the clinic and for keeping my head on straight. You do all the things without question or complaint even when they are silly things. I so appreciate you and I know patients do as well! We are so lucky you chose to come work with us!! 🤍🤍

Okay let’s talk some reality.

You can ask majority of my patients and they will say I talk A LOT about food and what we put in our bodies. It’s really easy for us to get side tracked and not be prepared, so I just wanted to shoot a little encouragement that even your provider doesn’t always have it together.

What I can say though is that I am one tired momma with a baby going through a nice sleep regression and a dog that got sprayed by a skunk late last night. I had planned to be prepared for this week and even had leftovers to eat today. BUT I forgot them. I had two options—-> skip lunch OR fast food. If I skip lunch I won’t have fuel to make the rest of the day a positive one, so fast food it is. I chose Braums because I know they process their meat better than most and know it’s real meat too. Instead of fries I got cottage cheese and opted for water. So do I have some nonsense processed food? I do. But I also have a 35 gram protein lunch that will keep me fueled.

It’s all about 80/20 lifestyle and not feeling defeated when you miss a step.

Now that we're all getting back to school, it's important to take care of your health! The best way to support your immune system is to prioritize self care.

💤Try to get a minimum of 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
🚶🏼‍♀️Exercise, even if you're just going on a nightly walk.
💧Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
🥗Eat well! Try to increase protein intake each day and less processed sugars.
🧘‍♀️Reduce your stress as much as possible. Control what you can, give God the rest!
