Arthur Lee St. John, age 85, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Art and Frieda St. John.
Lee grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from NW Classen High School in 1958. Following graduation, he proudly served six months of active duty in the U.S. Army as a reservist. He later attended Central State University (now the University of Central Oklahoma).
Lee began his career at OG&E, where he met the love of his life, Linda. They shared 58 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, family, and hard work. Together, they made their home in Mustang, where they raised their son, Ricky, and daughter, Brenda.
After years in corporate employment, Lee followed his entrepreneurial spirit and founded St. John’s Forklift Service. He and Linda also worked side by side at Paradise Square Retirement Village, where Linda managed the front office and Lee handled maintenance.
Lee had a deep love for horses and served as a ring master at horse shows across Oklahoma. He also had a lifelong passion for trains, creating an impressive train room in his home with wall-to-wall layouts. If you mentioned a favorite sports team or personal interest, he would find a train car to match it. On any given weekend, he could be found watching NASCAR and golf—often both at the same time on separate televisions.
Known as a true “do-it-all” handyman, Lee could fix or build just about anything. He was rarely idle and could often be found outside, busy working on a new project. A favorite family saying was that if you saw pipe, duct tape, or bread ties, you knew Lee had been hard at work.
Lee was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda; his son, Christopher Lee; his parents; his grandparents; and his brother-in-law, Billy.
He is survived by his son, Rick and wife Cyndi; his daughter, Brenda; his grandchildren, Jenni and husband Morgan, Nicki and husband Ethan, Tarren, Logan, Seth, and Madi; and his great-grandchildren, Dakotah, Dallys, Theo, Daphne, and one on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, brother Jay and wife Sandra, sister June and husband Ken, and brother David and wife Edi, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
