Our Personal Care residents enjoyed a wonderful exercise session with Brenda focused on balance, gentle movement, and relaxation.

The group practiced body circles and stretching exercises to help improve flexibility and coordination, followed by a peaceful moment of meditation to relax both body and mind. 🧘‍♀️

💛 StoneRidge Outreach in Action 💛
Our StoneRidge Outreach Committee recently had the opportunity to support a wonderful program in our community — the ELCO Athletic Nutrition Station.

Many students in the ELCO School Didttoct are unsure if they will have enough food throughout the day to avoid feeling hungry. To help address this need, Coach Miller and the varsity football players created the Athletic Nutrition Station. Every Monday they gather to assemble up to 115 lunches that are available during the week for students who need or want a lunch, ensuring ELCO athletes and extracurricular participants have reliable access to proper nutrition.

Thanks to the generosity of our residents and team members, we were able to collect a variety of food items to support this effort — including peanut butter, jelly, and individually wrapped snacks like granola bars, trail mix, and other treats.

It was such a pleasure meeting the track team, along with their coach and assistant coach, who stopped by StoneRidge to pick up the donations. They were incredibly kind and appreciative.

We are so proud to support initiatives that help nourish and encourage the next generation. 💛

🥨 Therapy Talk with Tom – More Than Just Pretzels!

Did you know that every month we host a Therapy Talk with Tom? Tom shares practical, real-life ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle — though we suspect a few people may come just for the fabulous pretzel treat! 😉

This month’s focus was on the Pillars of Good Health:
✔️ Exercise�✔️ Nutrition�✔️ Healthy sleep habits�✔️ Stress management (socialization, massage, meditation)�✔️ Staying consistent with movement and nutrition
Tom also highlighted the book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear — a great read on the science behind building habits that support exercise and nutrition. It’s definitely one worth adding to your bookshelf!

Today’s discussion dove into the psychology of how habits really work — how they shape our identity and why sometimes it’s not about setting bigger goals, but about reframing who we are and building small, consistent habits that last.

Healthy living isn’t about perfection — it’s about progress and consistency. And maybe a pretzel along the way. 💛

🍅🥗 Let’s Cook! Mediterranean Style at StoneRidge 🥗🍅

We were so excited to welcome Lori and Karen from Penn State Extension for a fabulous Let’s Cook! Mediterranean Cooking Class for our StoneRidge residents and members of the outside community.

What a wonderful opportunity to learn the basics behind Mediterranean cooking and the many health benefits that come with it! 🫒✨

We didn’t just learn — we tasted, too! The menu included:�🍗 Greek Chicken & Vegetable Skillet�🍓 Balsamic Berries (a definite favorite!)�🍲 Pasta e Fagioli Soup�🥗 Greek Lentil Salad
It was an engaging experience in our beautiful Meier Room filled with practical tips, delicious recipes, and great conversation. We are always so grateful for the valuable educational opportunities provided by Penn State Extension.

We had such a wonderful time at our February Meet & Greet welcoming our newest neighbors to the StoneRidge family! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Shara & Ron, Don & Gini, Helen, and Jim & Rosie. We are so happy you’re here! 🏡💛

Nothing like putting our new friends just slightly on the spot so we can all learn a little more about them! 😉 We had so much fun playing Connection Bingo, discovering shared stories, fun facts, and a few surprises along the way.

🎉🎂 Celebrating Our January & February Birthdays! 🎂🎉

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our Independent Living residents who had January and February birthdays in our beautiful Meier Dining Room! 💛

Our incredible dining team worked their magic behind the scenes to create a truly special meal. Residents enjoyed a fresh salad served in a homemade parmesan-crusted bowl, delicious filets, and homemade crab cakes that were absolutely amazing. And of course… no birthday celebration would be complete without birthday cake! 🎂✨

It’s always a joy to gather together, share a delicious meal, and celebrate the wonderful individuals who make our community so special. Cheers to another year of health, happiness, and making beautiful memories together! 🥂💛
