We hope to see you next week!
Here is a message from Jessica:
Qoya: come to the riverbank and rest
“Feed your soul and fill your cup”
As I was musing on the theme for this class I went through so many inspiring ideas! Ancestors and lineage, capacity building for complex times, dreams and imagination, connecting with joy and play… but there a something about all of a these themes that felt so… overwhelming. We are living in wild and unknown times, and while I fully believe we were born for these times, if and when we can create space to step out of the River together, make camp for community and care for a little while, light the fire of our inner knowing, and show up fully for a practice of deep rest and nourishment—well then we have done the important work of filling our cups so we can be of great service to the world sharing our gifts and our medicine.
On the heels of an ancestral pilgrimage to my ancestral homelands of Sicily, I will be here to lead us in a Qoya practice of coming home to our bodies and to move in a way that is deeply nourishing.
Qoya is movement with meaning and based on the idea that through movement we remember our essence is wise, wild, and free. A Qoya class is part somatic movement, part dance, part ceremony, and part share circle. There’s no wrong way to do Qoya. There are no levels in Qoya. All are welcome.
