Spooky season at Thrive Pediatric Therapy was a total treat! 🍬👻

Our kiddos showed up in the cutest, funniest, and most creative costumes, and yes, even our therapists dressed up and joined the magic!

We had an absolute blast trick-or-treating around the clinic all week long, and the smiles were truly contagious.
A HUGE thank you to all the amazing businesses who participated and helped make this week extra special for our families. We appreciate you more than you know! 🧡🖤

🌍✨ Happy World Occupational Therapy Day! ✨🌍

Today, we celebrate the incredible hearts and hands of our Occupational Therapists, the everyday heroes who help children build confidence, independence, and joy in every little milestone. 💪🏼💛

From helping little hands learn to hold a pencil, to guiding sensory regulation, to supporting feeding skills, dressing, motor coordination, and so much more, our OTs help children thrive in the most meaningful parts of their daily lives.

Every day, they turn challenges into victories, and every session is filled with creativity, compassion, and a deep belief in what’s possible. 🌈

To our amazing OT team Mrs. Ashley, Mr. Braden, & Ms. Deandra, thank you for your patience, your passion, and the way you see each child’s potential even when it’s hard for them to see it themselves. 🍋 We are bursting with pride for Olivia, Aubrey, and Emma Ludewig (and their amazing parents!)

This past Sunday, through rain, wind, and puddles ⛈️, the Ludewig family—together with this incredible community—raised an amazing $3,000 for St. Jude’s 🎉.

Even the gloomy weather couldn’t stop the sunshine when Mr. Ed Piotrowski (our favorite weatherman), members of the HCFD at Station 43 (Lees Landing), and Ms. Vanna White stopped by to show their support! ☀️

These girls are the sweetest reminder that small dreams can create a big impact. 💛 Way to go, Ludewig girls—you’re an inspiration to us all! We can’t wait to see what next year brings! 🌈🍋

Our clinic is all decked out with Halloween decorations, and we can’t wait for you to see them when you stop by. 🕸️🦇

We’ve got some frightfully fun activities coming up this month, including:
✨ Spooky crafts
✨ Halloween-themed games
✨ Special seasonal therapy activities

🧡 October 27–31: Clients are welcome to wear their costumes to therapy! We’ll also be practicing trick-or-treating around our complex—such a fun way to build skills and celebrate the season. 🍬🦹‍♀️🦸

🌟 October is AAC Awareness Month 🌟

At Thrive, we believe communication is more than just words, it’s connection, confidence, and a voice for every child.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) comes in many forms: from gestures and picture symbols, to speech-generating devices and sign language. Every form of communication is valuable, powerful, and worthy of being honored.

For some children, AAC opens the door to expressing needs, building friendships, learning, and truly being heard. Supporting AAC isn’t about replacing speech, it’s about making sure every child has a way to share their thoughts, dreams, and personality with the world. 🌎✨

This month (and always), let’s celebrate all the ways children communicate. Because every voice matters.💚

🎃🏃‍♂️ Our pumpkin may be an expert cough dodger… but staying healthy during sick season takes a little more than quick feet! 🍂✨

Here are a few simple tips to help your family dodge those fall germs:

🍊 Fuel up with healthy foods & plenty of water
🧼 Wash hands often (and make it fun with songs or timers!)
😴 Prioritize rest, little bodies need time to recharge
🤧 Teach kids to cover coughs & sneezes (elbow sneezes for the win!)
🧣 Layer up when the weather shifts
