Let's chat Shadow Work October.

At the end of this month Twisted Goddess Tarot will have been closed for one year! It has been really nice solely focusing on Twisted Goddess Crystals and being able to have more time to be a mom.

I've had some people asking about the astrological meaning behind this planetary alignment.

First, we want to establish that astronomy and astrology are two different studies of the celestial bodies.

Astronomy is the branch of science that studies everything outside of Earth's atmosphere. Astronomers examine the positions, motions, and properties of celestial objects. (It stops at observation/examination.)

Astrology is the nonscientific practice of using the positions of celestial objects to explain or predict human behavior. (It moves beyond observation/examination to interpretation.)

If this were a 6 planet conjunction (astrology) where all 6 of these planets were meeting in the same area of one of the zodiac signs, this would certainly be a major astrological event.

But, this is a Planetary Alignment (astronomy) which speaks to a visual phenomenon.

Trust me, if it were a 6 planet conjunction, I would have been talking about it for weeks leading up to it! (Even though Twisted Goddess Tarot has been closed since October).

But, it is not.

Because, you see, in the early morning of August 10th, Mercury will be in Leo, Venus will be in Cancer, Jupiter will be in Cancer, Saturn will be in Aries, Uranus will be in Gemini, Neptune will be in Aries in Tropical Astrology.

This alignment isn't an astrological conjunction. It's an astronomical alignment where their elliptic lines up visually. And it's not all that rare. We'll actually have 3 large planetary alignments in 2025 (not large planetary conjunctions).

So, this event is not something that we would astrologically interpret.
But, even though it's not something that gets interpreted the same way astrological transits do, if I wanted to apply meaning to it, just seeing the visual alignment portion, to me it speaks to things seeming to come together, which is so welcome considering things have felt so at odds recently.
