🦜🌍 Next week the World Parrot Trust will be at the IUCN World Conservation Congress!
Held every 4 years, the Congress brings together governments, NGOs, scientists & Indigenous peoples to:
✅ Set global conservation priorities
✅ Share knowledge & solutions
✅ Adopt motions that shape policy for nature & biodiversity
WPT has been a member of the IUCN since 1998 and will be represented in Abu Dhabi by Dr. Rowan Martin, who will join the World Summit of Indigenous Peoples and Nature, take part in forum events, and support evidence-based discussions during the Members’ Assembly, where we hope key motions benefitting parrots will be adopted.
Together, we’re working to ensure parrots – and the ecosystems they depend on – have a voice in global conservation decisions. 💚
