Big Wave Chiropractic will be closed through next week due, possibly longer, due to unexpected flooding.

We’re working to get a better idea of how long we’ll be closed and a plan for resuming operations as quickly as possible so your care is not impacted.

We’ll continue to provide updates as we have them.

As you may have seen from our posts yesterday, we are honored to contribute to and help coordinate fundraising efforts to aid in the acquisition and delivery of lifesaving emergency medical kits and hypothermia kits directly to those impacted by Hurricane Helene being led by local medical device manufacture and supplier, 6:8 Medical Solutions.

The first shipment of kits will be flown into TN tomorrow where the team is coordinating with a local church to get them distributed in the areas of greatest need. Our goal is to continue earning funds to cover additional kits and make more trips to the areas impacted.

If you would like to financially contribute to help cover the cost of these kits, contributions can be made via their Venmo linked below and in the comments.

Below are descriptions of the kits that your contribution will help provide to those in need. Additional kits specifically for volunteers and responders are being compiled and we will share those details as we receive them.

10.1.24 — 10:21pm UPDATE: We are working to get detailed descriptions of the various kit types available and the donation amount for each.

Kits range from emergency kits with wound care supplies to hyperthermia kits for survivors and PPE kits for responders and volunteers. We should have the detailed information posted tomorrow, along with information on how to contribute and who to contact with questions.

As Myrtle Beach locals, we’re no strangers to the devastation natural disasters can cause - nor are we strangers to the positive impact generous people can have in the times of recovery and rebuilding after such a disaster.

We’re honored to work with a locally-based company to help supply medical equipment, including trauma kits, to those severely impacted by Hurricane Helene in the Burnsville, NC area.
