We spent the night in classic contrast at our Black & White Signature Experience. 🖤🤍
We kicked off this experience with our first Wine Pairing event of the year, where Members treated their taste buds to a selection of delightful wines! Our executive chef, Jim, crafted a menu that truly delighted our palates, while our director of dining, Mark, chose the perfect wines to complement each dish. We kicked off the evening with roasted garlic and brie cheese potatoes, topped with a pumpernickel crouton, paired with Leia Vintner’s Sauvignon Blanc. For the second course, we enjoyed a black sesame-crusted grouper with black forbidden rice, ginger parsnip puree, and black bean sauce, paired with Campo Viejo Roja Tempranillo. We concluded the event with dueling chocolate and vanilla cake pops paired with some delightful Borrasca Brut Cava. 🍷
The night of the big event started on a high note with our signature Tuxedo Martini and a little glam session for our glamorous grandmas and grandpas. 💄✨ Hair, makeup, confidence… chef’s kiss. Aren’t they so darling?! As Members smiled for the camera, Chef Jim was in the kitchen, busy crafting a menu of pure elegance. He opened with a Humboldt fog goat cheese on toasted pumpernickel with a blackberry and balsamic chutney…hello contrast! Our second course was a lovely black bean soup with roasted chicken and sour cream. Our main dish was blackened cod, served with creamed cauliflower and squid-ink tuxedo orzo. And for dessert, a delicious handmade whoopee pie! It was a true black-and-white masterpiece. Setting the mood, Benny Tomko was entertaining us with old favorites, while a mime floated table to table, adding a little black-and-white whimsy to the evening. We had so much fun dressing to the nines and spending the evening with our friends! 💫
