This month we’re proud to highlight Sheila Dugosh, Administrator at Angel Oak.

Shelia brings a long history of dedicated service in senior living communities throughout South Carolina. A licensed Physical Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Sheila combines clinical expertise with a deep passion for helping others.

With a strong background in geriatric rehabilitation, nursing, and post-acute care management, Shelia leads with compassion and a commitment to excellence. She attributes Angel Oak’s outstanding clinical outcomes, positive reviews, and operational success to the strength of our interdisciplinary team—a group that truly understands how teamwork enhances the quality of life for those we serve.

We’re proud to recognize Shirley C. as Angel Oak’s Resident of the Month!

Shirley was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina. After graduating from high school, she married her beloved husband, Jack, and together they raised two sons. Much of Shirley’s life was devoted to caring for her family, especially her one son who has special needs.

Alongside her family life, Shirley dedicated many years to volunteering. She began as a candy striper—known then as a “Pink Lady”—at the local hospital and later served for over a decade as a Red Cross shelter volunteer. In recognition of her dedication, she and her son were honored in 2000 with a plaque from The Sun News as Volunteers of the Year.

In 1992, Shirley moved to the Myrtle Beach area, where she has since enjoyed a rich family life that now includes two grandsons and two great-grandsons.Today, while living at Angel Oak, she loves exploring the building, chatting with others, and participating in activities like BINGO. Shirley says it has truly been a pleasure to call Angel Oak her home. 💛

Our Halloween Festivities brought spooky smiles and sweet treats for residents and guests with a Haunted Maze and Trunk-or-Treat celebration!

A big shoutout to our amazing Activities Team, who went all out as Scooby-Doo and the gang — and even created many of the incredible haunted props that made the night unforgettable. 🧡

At Angel Oak, we believe every holiday should be full of joy, laughter, and a touch of mystery!

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Alan proudly served in the U.S. Navy after high school, which led to a lifelong career in printing services with the Federal Government.

Today, Alan enjoys watching sports, listening to music, and taking part in the many activities and events that make Angel Oak feel like home. We’re honored to celebrate Alan’s story and the joy he brings to our community each day.💙

A Taste of Italy — Right Here at Angel Oak!
Today, Angel Oak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center transformed into “Little Italy” for a day — complete with delicious Italian cuisine, themed décor, and the warmest service from our very own nurses-turned-waitstaff!

From the laughter to the music, it truly felt like we were dining under the Tuscan sun. No passport required — just the love and creativity our team pours into every moment.
