A lot of my clients are having very big feelings about the election, and wondering if their reactions are silly.

First off, your feelings are never silly. They are valid. They are yours to honor.

Just as politics fall on a spectrum (far left to far right, and anywhere in between) - so can your reaction to the current circumstances.

Some people want to flee the country. Valid.

Some want to fight. Valid.

Some feel “it’s just four years. We’ll get through it.” Valid.

Some feel defeated and sad. Valid.

Some feel angry and disgusted. Valid.

Some want to cut off any friends or relatives who voted against their rights. Valid.

Some feel they can agree to disagree with those who voted differently. Valid.

The point is, there is no right or wrong. There is only what feels right for YOU.

And even if others can’t fathom why you would ______, or how you could possibly ______…
that still does not invalidate your experience.

So I encourage you to give yourself permission to follow your heart and honor your emotions - big and small and everywhere in between. 💙
