🌿 “Gratitude turns what we have into enough.” 💜

Nacogdoches Counseling Services took part yesterday in SFASU’s Health and Wellness Fair with a little activity called The Gratitude Tree. Students, faculty, and visitors were invited to pause, reflect, and write down something they’re grateful for, adding their note to a growing tree of positivity and appreciation. 🌳✨

This simple yet powerful activity served as a reminder that even in busy or stressful times, taking a moment to focus on gratitude can help shift our mindset and boost emotional well-being. The activity helped encourage our campus community to take care of their hearts and minds. 💙

🍁As the seasons shift, nature reminds us: growth takes time — and so does healing.🍁

This fall, we invite you to pause and reflect:
🌱 What seeds of change did you plant earlier this year?
🌾 What emotional or personal growth are you beginning to harvest now?

Maybe you:
✔ Set a boundary you once avoided
✔ Took your first step into therapy
✔ Learned to sit with discomfort instead of avoiding it
✔ Simply made it through a hard season — and that’s enough

Even if you’re still in the process of planting those seeds now, it is never too late to start on your journey. Growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it whispers. This fall, celebrate how far you’ve come — even if it’s still unfolding.

🧡 You’re doing the work. That matters.

🌿 Healing from Trauma is Possible 🌿

If you’ve experienced trauma, whether recently or long ago, it can show up in ways that feel overwhelming, confusing, or exhausting. Maybe you’re tired of being “stuck” in old patterns or constantly in fight‑or‑flight mode. You don’t have to carry it alone.

At Nacogdoches Counseling Services, we offer trauma-informed therapy designed to help you process and heal at your own pace. We also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — a research-supported therapy that helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer feel so distressing.

✨ Immediate openings available, including with Dr. Amanda Pruit, LPC-S

Whether you’re ready to dig deep or just beginning to explore your healing, we’ll meet you where you are.

You are not too much. You are not too late. Your healing matters.
