Good afternoon! I hope you are staying safe and warm.
This year, I, Jennifer Christopher, celebrate 22 years of practicing massage therapy. To better align with the needs of clients over the years I have worked to extend and expand my knowledge in therapies like Reiki, Trigger Point, Myoskeletal Alignment, Myofascial techniques, Cupping, Gua Sha techniques, Aromatherapy and hot stones. Instead of charging extra for these add ons, they will be included in a new flat rate. Starting March 15, prices will be as follows:
Half hour - $40
Hour - $80
Hour and a half - $110
Just let me know when you schedule your appointment what you would like to add to your session.
I appreciate you as a client for taking care of yourself and allowing me to be a part of your health journey!

Friends, please tell your friends and your friend's friends: it is greatly degrading and disrespectful to ask for "extra" services from a massage therapist or make any action that implies what you are wanting any kind of sexual anything. It is disgusting and the therapist feels dirty just from your question for a while afterwards and their day has just been ruined. To go a step further, say a therapist has been sexually molested or assaulted before, and they don't know how far you are going to push to get what you want and now they are re-living their past trauma by the thought of the worst case scenario.

My business works solely off of word of mouth, I don't accept appointments with people who find me on the internet for this reason. So when you are referring someone for massage therapy make sure they know this, please! Thank you. That is all for the soap box today.

Update on the new office: The new year is here and I'm still not moved in and that's OK. I can fret and worry about not meeting my goals because of issues that came up, but I choose to praise God for all He's done to provide for this project. I'm still on budget even with all the curve balls! I hate to put a finish date on here but it's going to take another couple of months.
Meanwhile, schedule yourself a massage!

This year I celebrated 18 years of massage therapy. The first 4 years were at Medical Center. The next 2 were contract work. Then, 12 years ago I started my own business. I love what I do for a living! I've always heard, "Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." I have come to believe it.
That being said, it's still how I make a living. I have only raised my prices once in those 18 years when I started contract work. I haven't given myself a raise since! So beginning October 1st my rates will be as follows:

30 minute- $40
1 hour- $70
90 minute- $100
Add-on items are still $15
Hot stone- $130

My clients are fantastic and I appreciate you and your understanding!
(By the way, if you pre-purchase your massage before the end of September you can get it for the current rate even if you schedule in October or beyond.)💛

So I've kept you in the dark long enough. God has blessed me with the opportunity to buy a building for my office. Lots of renovations are in the works. My office should be moved in by the end of the year, if not sooner!
