We’re pleased to share that our practice is offering allergy testing and treatment.
More than 1 in 4 people have seasonal or environmental allergies, and many don’t realize their symptoms are allergy-related. If you regularly deal with nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, sinus pressure, itchy or watery eyes, frequent “sinus infections,” or ear discomfort, allergies may be playing a role.
Allergy testing helps identify what your body is reacting to, so we can talk through personalized treatment options. For some patients, this includes allergy immunotherapy — a treatment that works over time to retrain your immune system and reduce your reaction to the allergens causing your symptoms. Rather than relying on medications that only provide temporary relief, this approach focuses on addressing the underlying cause.
Allergy testing and treatment are typically covered by insurance and are often more cost-effective over time than ongoing over-the-counter medications, which can come with unwanted side effects like drowsiness or brain fog, to name a few.
If you think allergies may be affecting your health, we encourage you to contact our office to schedule an appointment at (936) 559-9225. Getting evaluated now can make the upcoming spring allergy season much easier — and our team is happy to answer any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kelley Moon
