Last night, the Outer Banks community gathered with the Outer Banks Health Development Council for the Stayin’ Alive with ThriveOBX Gala. We’re so grateful to our generous sponsors, guests, and the Gala committee and team who made the night possible.

From the music and light-up dance floor to the food and 70s-inspired details, it was a fun, high-energy evening in support of community health and well-being.

A free, supportive class led by Certified Prenatal and Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Anna Oprea. Open to all pregnant women; no prior yoga experience needed. Mats and props are provided. Please RSVP at Outerbankshealth.org/PrenatalResources

Wellness Screenings – Tuesday, March 24 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Kill Devil Hills Library
Outer Banks Health offers free wellness screenings, which include blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol, blood sugar, and body mass index, as well as health coaching. A1C screenings, which measure a person’s blood glucose level over the past three months, will also be available.

Caring for the Caregiver Support Group – Wednesday, March 25 | 11 a.m.– 12 p.m. | Cowell Cancer Center
Connect with others who have a loved one diagnosed with cancer. Share personal experiences, coping strategies and valuable resources. This group is open to anyone affected by a loved one’s cancer diagnosis.

Outer Banks Health’s 2026 Gala for Well-Being: Stayin’ Alive with ThriveOBX is happening this Saturday, March 28, and there’s still time to grab your tickets. Step into the 70s for a night of disco glam, great food, drinks on a glowing bar, live music and dancing and finish off the night with a silent disco.

If you are a cancer survivor, patient or caregiver, join the next workshop with artist Carol Beal on Wednesday, April 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This session will focus on bead art and bottle stoppers.
