Meet Ellie… professional troublemaker, part-time porcupine enthusiast 🦔😅

This sweet 1-year-old lab mix decided to get a little too curious and ended up in a close encounter of the spiky kind. She came to see us with quills in her face and even tucked up into the roof of her mouth (yes… ouch). *Photo in Comments*

With some solid sedation, pain control, and a very patient team, we were able to remove all those unwelcome souvenirs. Ellie is now back home with medications, lots of TLC, and (hopefully) a newfound respect for creatures that bite back without even trying.

Moral of the story: not all new friends are meant to be sniffed.

Heal up fast, Ellie—and maybe stick to tennis balls from now on 💛

🍀 A little luck goes a long way… 🍀

Over the weekend, Gemini—a beautiful, young Maine Coon—found herself in a bit of a pinch after her tail got caught in a recliner. She even arrived with a piece of the chair still attached (talk about bringing the problem with you 😅).

Thanks to her quick-thinking family and a little help (and sedation) from our team, we were able to safely free her tail and check for injuries. The best news? Just some bruising and no fractures, but her family will be keeping a close eye on it just in case!

Let’s just say Gemini might have been testing her luck… and the recliner definitely won that round 💚🐾

Gracie Update 🐾❤️

We’re so happy to share that Gracie is home! 🏡 After being hospitalized for severe smoke inhalation following the recent house fire, this resilient 16-year-old kitty has been discharged from Viking Veterinary Hospital and is now resting peacefully with her mom. 😴🐱

Thanks to the incredible generosity of this community, Gracie’s veterinary care has been fully covered. 💙 We are so grateful to everyone who helped make that possible.

While Gracie continues to recover, her mom is still facing the heartbreaking aftermath of the fire, including the loss of her home and two beloved pets. We will continue to share her GoFundMe to help support her as she begins to rebuild. 🔥🏠
