Helping Hands would like to take a moment to celebrate Michelle. For those of you who know, and those of you who don't, we have a survivor among us. Michelle has continued to provide care for multiple patients over the last year with selfless compassion while fighting her own battle against breast cancer. It takes a special person to put the needs of others before ones self during a difficult time. Michelle's work ethic and dedication to her patients say more about her character than words ever could. We are not only honored to call her an employee here at Helping Hands, but a survivor, and most importantly -a friend.

Macular degeneration, neuropathy, disorientation, and loss of dexterity are just a few of the many symptoms of dementia. Helping Hands Personal Care is hosting a Dementia Developmental Stages and Progression Simulation educational course for our staff. We will be performing tasks of activities of daily living based on several simulations of a person with dementia like diagnoses. These routine tasks are performed by our staff with loss of touch, hearing, and comprehension. This simulation will allow us to better understand and empathize with our many different clients and will prepare us to better care for and better understand the importance of our responses to the needs of our patients. At Helping Hands Personal Care, we strive to provide the most educated and understanding group of caregivers to provide services for our community and loved ones.
