☀️ Important Pre & Post Laser Care Reminder ☀️
For all laser treatments, it is essential to avoid direct sun exposure (including tanning beds and intentional tanning) for at least 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your appointment.
Why this matters:
Sun exposure increases melanin activity in the skin, which can make your skin more sensitive during treatment and significantly raises the risk of side effects such as burns, irritation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots), and uneven healing. After laser treatments, your skin is in a more vulnerable, healing state—UV exposure can easily disrupt results and prolong recovery.
To protect your results and your skin health:
• Use broad-spectrum SPF daily (even indoors if near windows)
• Wear hats or protective clothing when outside
• Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure whenever possible
Following these guidelines helps ensure safer treatments, better results, and a more even, long-lasting outcome.
Your skin barrier will thank you.
