π Happy Juneteenth! π
Today, we join hands in celebrating the joy, resilience, and freedom of Juneteenth. At TBH, we believe in the power of acknowledging historical milestones that have shaped our society.
Juneteenth holds immense significance as it marks the day when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865. It is a day to honor the strength and perseverance of those who fought for freedom and equality.
At our core, we recognize the importance of mental well-being and the impact of historical trauma on individuals and communities. Juneteenth reminds us of the ongoing work we must do to heal, educate, and build a more inclusive society.
Today, we stand united with our African American patients, colleagues, and the entire community in celebrating this milestone and continuing the pursuit of justice, equality, and mental health for all.
